Battery System - 12 Volts DC


Truck Battery


The truck has two 12V batteries in parallel.  The truck runs and starts with 12 volts.

The batteries are under the steps leading up to the cab of the truck, on the right front of the truck.  The picture shows the batteries after the cover is removed.  The cover is held on by four screws.  To remove the cover, use a straight screwdriver to turn the screws one quarter turn.

Generator Battery

The generator has a battery on the left side of the truck, accessed by the small door next to the generator.		 Generator battery5

Note that the truck does not have a "house" or "kitchen" battery, so you can run down the truck battery if you leave a light on overnight.

There are 12 volt auxillary lights for the kitchen and under the hood.  The switches are on the lower left of the dash.

Fuse Locations

There are two fuseboxes, one under the dashboard and one under the hood.
