Fire Extinguisher System

General Information

Like most commercial kitchens, the unit has an automatic fire extinguishing system.  This uses wet chemical as an extinguishing system.  If this system goes off, it makes a huge mess, with white chemical everywhere.  The system can be operated manually, by pulling the handle, or automatically, with a high temperature fusible link.  The same system will also shut off the propane to the grille.
 
 

Manual Operation of the Fire Extinguishing System

There are two pull handles to control the fire extinguishing system.  The left hand control is the emergency propane shutoff.  The right hand control dumps the wet chemical and also shuts off the propane.

The unit also has a standard portable fire extinguisher that can be used for all kinds of fires.
