Driving the Truck

Truck

The truck drives like any pickup truck, and is not particularly difficult to drive.  It is heavier than a standard passenger car, so remember to shift down the transmission for steep downhill sections of road, to prevent overheating the brakes.

Gas and propane tanks The Gasoline and Propane tanks are on the left side of the vehicle.  The truck uses regular unleaded fuel, like most cars.

Important safety instruction:  Turn off the truck, turn off the propane tank valve, and be sure that the pilot lights are out, before filling the truck with gasoline or propane, to prevent a possible explosion.

The truck has a special large red light on the dashboard, as shown.  This is a warning light to tell you if one of the side doors is open.  If this light comes on while driving, pull off the road as soon as it is safe, and check the side doors.
